Greetings to all,
This is a very exciting month for Heart Centre Yoga. Hats Off Day was Saturday June 5th and what an event this year! The folks at the Heights Merchants Association did an outstanding job of execution and I think there were more people out to participate than ever. Many of Heart Centre Yoga's teachers and several students contributed time and energy to meet and greet and do some business building for us, and it was awesome to have many of you stop by the studio to say hello.
The absolute biggest news this month is that Heart Centre Yoga has obtained new studio space. Many of you know this already, but if you haven't been in lately, we will be moving a few doors down to 3982 Hastings Street (old Tino's Bakery unit). Renovation work is well underway and we don't foresee any interruption to classes during this month - classes will continue as usual in our current location until we open the doors of the new studio.
That being said; we JOYFULLY invite you to attend our Grand Re-opening event on the evening of Saturday June 26th, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The celebration will commence with a blessing ceremony and we'd love it if you would join our community circle to help us infuse the new studio with good energy then stay for dinner, some social time and other fun activities. Heart Centre Yoga will provide the food and beverages, all you need to bring is a smile! So we know how many to prepare food for, we are asking that you RSVP via return email. Please put RSVP in the subject line and provide your name and how many attending e.g. RSVP, Debbie Dawkins (2), or sign the list at the studio. Note: this is an open house and if you can't make it until later in the evening, please drop by when you can to check it out.
Our summer schedule will be published in the next week or so and will take effect Sunday June 27th. The schedule will be distributed via a "newsflash", posted on the web site and printed copies will be available at the studio. IMPORTANT: Please note that the Yoga/Pilates class on Saturday from 1p.m - 2 p.m. is cancelled effective immediately - the fairer weather has taken so many of you to other activities and numbers are too low to continue the class at this time. We will bring it back in September since so many of you enjoyed both the class and Tara's teaching.

Some space is still available in our "Addressing Back Pain and Posture Through Chiropractic, Core Stability, and Yoga" workshop this Sunday June 13, 2010 from 1-3 p.m. Cost is $25 + GST. Get all the details from our News & Workshops page.
A new Mom & Baby 4 class pre-registered series will start on Monday June 28 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. (every Monday for 4 weeks). Cost for this series is $52 + applicable taxes. Pre-registration is requested so we can ensure there are enough Mamas to run the class. Please contact Renee to register. Reneewilliams@shaw.ca

Also on Saturday July 17th from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tonic Lifestyle Apparel, a local Burnaby Company will be holding a "Trunk Sale" at Heart Centre Yoga. This special evening will feature a show and sale of Tonic's latest line of yoga and lifestyle apparel for women & men. We will be offering "appies' and light refreshment to complement your shopping experience. Tonic Lifestyle Apparel designs and manufactures their clothing lines right here in North Burnaby, a high percentage of their fabrics are milled in Canada (except bamboo).
